Final Scientific Conference in Dubrovnik

      

NOWELTIES’ final scientific conference took place in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on the 11th and 12th of May, led by the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology of the University of Zagreb. The main objective of the final conference was to present the results of NOWELTIES’ research program, as well as new achievements in the field of the development and application of new materials and inventive processes for wastewater treatment covering four topics; Advances in biological treatment of WW, Progress in advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), New materials and application of nanotechnology in WW treatment, Hybrid WW treatments. The conference combined keynote presentations from invited speakers with presentations from the NOWELTIES’ fellows and other project participants.

On the following day 13th, the final face-to-face project meeting and a workshop “What after NOWELTIES?” were held, focusing on the career in science and entrepreneurship after NOWELTIES.
