Zoran Lj. Petrović

Research professor Physics of atoms, molecules and plasmas

Zoran Lj. Petrović obtained his Ph. D in 1985 at the Research Sachool of Physics, Australian National University in Canberra Australia. He has been employed at the Institute of Physics University of Belgrade since 1978 with two lomg term sabbaticals at the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics, University of Colorado Boulder USA and at Keio University Yokohama/Tokyo Japan. He has also spent shorter periods at Universities in France, Germany, UK, Brazil, Poland etc.

Zoran Lj. Petrović is an expert in collisions of electrons, atoms and molecules in ionized gases and their transport , physics of swarms, cross section data, gas breakdown, micro discharges, RF Plasmas modeling and diagnostics, Plasma chemistry, Atmospheris pressure non-equilibrium plasmas, positron traps and positrons in liquids , applications of plasmas for etching and other technologies for intergated circuit production, plasma treatment of materials, plasmas in medicine and in agriculture. These applications include treatment and purification of water and air.

Zoran Lj Petrović has published around 280 papers in sci journals, and one book (Hirsch index is 48). He won Marko Jaric award and Nikola Tesla award. He is a fellow of APS.
