Article from Barbara Kalebić (ESR 7) and co-authors with the title “Use of Natural Clinoptilolite in the Preparation of an Efficient Adsorbent for Ciprofloxacin Removal from Aqueous Media” has been published in Minerals on 14th of May 2021.

The article deals with the removal of the antibiotic ciprofloxacin from water on pure and magnetite-modified natural zeolite-clinoptilolite. The adsorption of ciprofloxacin onto clinoptilolite-based adsorbents has found to be an efficient and promising method for ciprofloxacin removal with high removal efficiency (more than 80%). Furthermore, the magnetite coverage induce magnetism, which can facilitate the adsorbent separation process.
