22 Nov ESRs’ Outreach Activity at the ICRA’s 10th Anniversary Celebration Event

This November 2019 marks the 10th anniversary of the Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA), where three of our ESRs are spending their 1st year period. Last Saturday, November 16th, ICRA celebrated the anniversary with an open-door initiative addressed to all ICRA staff and their families.

During the welcome speech, the three ESRs, Barbara Topolovec (ESR 5), Michele Ponzelli (ESR 12) and Nikoletta Tsiarta (ESR 14), gave an entertaining presentation on what it means to be a scientist, and what is their role as researchers at ICRA. Also, the children present were challenged with questions and a final puzzle on the steps of water treatment. 

Afterward, the participants had a guided tour of the ICRA facilities and laboratories before lunch. A brief video of the event is also available here.
